Lyndesfarne Theatre Projects (LTP), established in February of 2006, is a fully incorporated, not-for-profit, registered charitable organization situated in the Niagara Region. The company aims to be a catalyst in connecting the residents of St. Catharines and the Niagara Region to an enriched artistic and cultural life in this community. Co-founders, Kelly Daniels and Ric Reid began Lyndesfarne in order to tell a great story. Outreach initiatives include a young company and a drama drop-in for at-risk youth. The Company has produced a list of impressive titles: Michel Tremblay's Albertine in Five Times, David Mamet's American Buffalo, A.R. Gurney's Love Letters, Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Martin McDonaghs The Beauty Queen of Leenane and Michele Henrys, Sexy Laundry. Performances take place at the Sullivan Mahoney Courthouse Theatre. LTP, with support from the City of
St. Catharines, will also present the St. Catharines International Busker Festival August 12-14, 2011 downtown St. Catharines.

Position: Co-Facilitator for the Downtown
Drama Drop In (at The RAFT)
Term: 12 weeks (with potential to be extended up to 50 weeks) Location: St. Catharines
Salary: $20/hr Start Date: Oct 10th 2011
Job Description
Lyndesfarne has a history of different programs with The RAFT. Last year we delivered a 42 week multi-disciplinary, integrated arts program, and because of its success we are back once again. The aim is to deliver a program for 2 hours a session that uses drama games/theatre skills as the means to work on individual growth, and better communication skills as a group. The program will run on TUESDAY nights from 7pm-9pm. Every fourth Saturday the program will run from 1pm-5pm, with a professional guest artist. Job Responsibilities
* The facilitator will be responsible for communicating with the other co-facilitator once a week to create an outline of the program for the upcoming week and deliver the program weekly.
* The facilitator must serve as a positive role model at all times.
Requirements
* Completed at least 2 years of a Dramatic Arts program OR equivalency through experience.
* Standard Police Check.
*Must have a desire to work as a teaching artist and workshop leader.
