Albertine, at age 70, is moving into a retirement home after having just miraculously recovered from surgery. As we listen to her story, we watch as the Albertines of each decade remind each other of what was, and what is yet to be, and we are swept away in a struggle of survival that is as delicately poignant as it is brutally honest and haunting.
